THE TASK AT HAND

I was assigned to continue and finish the design for Cuisinart’s website. The website is surprisingly feature rich, it’s most prominent feature being its recipes. I also had to make the design responsive for mobile users. I accomplished these tasks via competitive research, userflows, user feedback, and client approval.

The most important enticement you want for a food website is appetite appeal. I learned this from my days as a food package designer for Duncan Hines. I made it a point to push the food via big delicious photos that would be full-bleed across the user’s browser window.

THE RESULT

To this day, Cuisinart is still using my design practices. Ease of navigation, appetite appeal, and emphasis on recipes and how Cuisinart products can help chefs of all ages accomplish this.
